MARKETING FOR SMALL BUSINESS- A TIPS TO IMPACT YOUR BRAND AND BUSINESS

April 7, 2023 by Michael Shea PA

I was having a conversation with a buyer and she was getting lost in the weeds on operations. Important stuff but I told her after getting into the education for buying a business and given that she was already a good operator I said you really need to ramp up on sales and marketing. Sales after all if the margins are solid will solve lots and lots of problems.

Here are 10 tips for social media:

  1. Host a social media contest: Encourage your followers to participate in a contest or giveaway to win a prize. This is a great way to increase engagement and build brand loyalty.
  2. Share behind-the-scenes content: Give your followers a glimpse into your company culture by sharing behind-the-scenes photos and videos of your team at work.
  3. Partner with influencers: Collaborate with influencers in your industry to reach a wider audience and build credibility for your brand.
  4. Host a Twitter chat: Use a specific hashtag to host a live chat on Twitter where your followers can ask you questions and engage in conversation.
  5. Create a Facebook group: Create a private Facebook group for your customers to discuss topics related to your industry or product.
  6. Share user-generated content: Repost content created by your followers to show appreciation and build a sense of community.
  7. Use Instagram stories: Share daily updates and behind-the-scenes content on Instagram stories to keep your followers engaged.
  8. Host a Q&A session: Host a live Q&A session on Instagram or Facebook to answer questions from your followers.
  9. Create a branded hashtag: Create a unique hashtag for your brand that your followers can use when posting about your product or service.
  10. Share industry news: Share relevant industry news and insights with your followers to position yourself as a thought leader in your industry.
